Our Story
We started off in a small Boston apartment, driven by passion and a love for music. From jamming out together to writing our own tracks, we’ve transformed from local wannabes to a thriving alt-rock group. Meet the Band
Colin Lillich
Lead Guitar / Vocals
Colin Lillich is a guitarist/vocalist/producer who could be considered from North Carolina, Kentucky, or London. He wears these different roots on his sleeve, with his musical upbringing consisting of a heavy dose of British and Southern Rock.
He started playing guitar and writing songs at age 13, and met drummer Trevor Richards, along with vocalist Mason Mackinnon, at a summer music camp while they were all still in middle school. Recently, Lillich has started singing more, which has helped develop the sound Routine Happiness as they begin to navigate the Boston music scene.
Mason McKinnon
Lead Vocals / Guitar
Mason (mack) is the lead singer and rhythm guitarist. Mason has an amazing range and is passionate about music of all genres.
When not singing and playing guitar mason likes to hang out at the beach, enter into swimming competitions and shop for more guitars and amps.
Trevor Richards
Drums
Trevor - Trevor Richards is a percussionist, drummer, and producer from Wilmington, North Carolina. He started playing drums at age eleven and got into music production a few years later when his high school band, RuKus, needed someone to handle mixing and mastering. That experience gave him a well-rounded approach to music, both on the kit and in the studio.
Now studying at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Trevor draws influence from rock, reggae, funk, and soul. With Routine Happiness, he’s excited to keep making music with many of the same friends he grew up playing with while continuing to develop his sound and style.
